For all levels and abilities.

This weekend workshop will focus on recognizing the energy Lama Yeshe pointed to through the exploration of Shiva and Shakti—the opposite and harmonious universal life forces. Rudy Mettia, senior teacher from Bryan Kest’s acclaimed Power Yoga studios in Santa Monica, California, will act as your guide.

In four themed classes rooted in vinyasa, you will discover these forces within yourself, unearthing the dance and power of tension and release through physical expression, creativity, breath, and meditation. By exploring Shiva, you will uncover the masculinity, static grounding, and stability of your practice. In Shakti, the feminine, creative, and dynamic potency of your practice will be revealed. You will learn how these energies work in tandem in your practice as well as your life off the mat. Come prepared to sweat, laugh, and learn.

Note Bring a water bottle, towels, and comfortable yoga clothing.

New Rudy Mettia web site

23 January 2011 by , No Comments

Hey guys please check out my new site I’m launching today! Not much on it as of now but we’re in the process of building a youtube channel which will be dedicated to yoga with asana tutorials and life and fitness commentary. Also back in my artistic days I fancied myself as an untrained writer so to scratch that itch I’ll be dabbling in the blog world from time to time as well and in my own politically incorrect style stirring the pot when I feel it’s needed :) So again, not much up but take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks, Rudy Mettia. PS. A big thank you to Ryan Miller and the sweet brothers who masterminded and built the site.

A Word About Rudy Mettia from Bryan Kest

A Word About Rudy Mettia from Bryan Kest …

“A warrior needs a worthy cause as well as courage. The more virtuous the cause, the higher his calling ? and the cause of greatest challenge, power and subtlety is that of self-examination. A wise warrior of such virtuous purpose embarks upon the age-old practice of yoga. A practice that roots out the habits, addictions, and incessant redundant thoughts that dull perc…eption and cloud the heart; a practice that celebrates perfection in daily experiences and clears the soul for a joyous and poignant interaction with life. Knowing Rudy these many years is to know the wisdom, courage, and assurance of his path. With humor and great fortitude, Rudy has taken great steps towards eradicating the enemy within. His unwavering perseverance has positioned him as an extraordinarily talented guide, a gifted teacher with the ability to help others determined to take on for themselves this powerful practice and virtuous cause. If you are drawn in any way to these words and the intentions behind them, then you should experience Rudy Mettia’s Corporalita Power Yoga.”

Aloha, Bryan Kest
